Friday I did a hard hike, followed by watching a parade Saturday. Sunday I needed to do something lesser , and that wouldn't add much driving.
I really didnt want to be nodding out all day Monday.

When she said Table Mountain, though I really wasnt very excited.
We did it a few years ago, and somehow I got it into my mind that
it wasnt that impressive.
What the heck was I thinking ?
It's a relatively short and easy hike, follows an old road alongside a nice brook very gently for a ways, then a short steep section.
Then it's moderate again and never really gets very steep. It has some of the same kind of sandy gravel underfoot that other nearby mountains ( Stanton comes to mind) have, which can make footing a little tricky. But no big scrambles or death-defying leaps. As long as you don't wander too close to the edge of the ledges, anyway.
From the topmost ledge there is an excellent view of the eastern side of the Kanc, and South into the Ossippee area.
A partly obstructed view of Carrigain can be had just a few yards from the main ledge.
We followed the trail toward Attitash a short way, and passed a tempting herd path.
TLV explored that a bit, but never reached anything but more woods.
