So with a one-day window before the rain predicted, my boss graciously let me take Friday off on almost no notice 
Ah Friday! No crowds, ample parking everywhere.
Despite it being foliage season and a perfect day, there were only 2 cars at the trailhead on 302.
All the way out to Resolution I only saw two people, descending Crawford.
Been wanting to get up Resolution again, but Jericho Rd is still closed and not really that interested in doing 4 miles of road walk. It's a *nice* road walk, but still ...
I wanted to do a Parker - Crawford traverse, but solo that would have meant a 10 mile hike followed by 6 mile hitchhike. Tough decision, but finally decided ... no.
So ... out & back via the Davis Path.
I really like this whole trail, and the section between Crawford & Resolution is surprisingly fun. Almost flat, good footing, pretty, quiet woods and pops in & out of the trees onto ledges often enough to pique a view hound's interest.
On Resolution I was a little disappointed to find another hiker, but it was OK really. Until his dog got away from him. I had to fend off Fifi with my poles before the guy got his cute little buddy under control. Glad to have not put down my hiking poles!! Even though "Fifi wouldnt have hurt you, really." I was quite annoyed and told him if he had trouble keeping his dog under control he should consider carrying a leash. He said he had one. Right here, in his pack. 
Doh!
Anyway, after they left I continued enjoying the scenery and walked a bit more.
Stepped oin a slippery rock and did the instant-flat-on-the-back thing. Sprained wrist but otherwise ok. Whew.
Then back to Crawford - decided I had to go up the summit and did that. Not disappointing at all :)
An uneventful trip down and back to town/camp for supper and a nap in my comfy chair :)
